Michael Phelps set new record

Michael Phelps is a world renowned swimmer. He has won many medals and accolades. He set new 400 metre individual medley record of 4 minutes, 5.25 seconds at the U S Olympic Swimming trials in Omaha, Nebraska. He bettered his own mark that he set last year at the World Championships in Australia. Ryan Lochte, who came second was also under the previous mark. In the women’s 400 IM, 19 year old Katie Hoff set a new record of 4 minutes 31.12 seconds.
